Sadly, there are a lot of contractors who will get a liability insurance policy then never pay for it, BUT they have the paperwork so homeowners think they are covered. If a worker from an uninsured crew falls off the roof or gets hurt, they can sue the homeowner for damages. There are too many horror stories about bad contractors for any homeowner to take a chance on a fly by night organization. Do your due diligence and check them out and ask a lot of questions! If a contractor cannot give insurance documentation or is reluctant to provide information, that is a BIG red flag and it is time to call Academy Roofing!
